It's one of those moments just before you set out on a new adventure in your life. Those are my favorite times in life because you get to decide who you want to be and how you want to live. It gives you the opportunity to edit your life. It's like, when you move and you have to let go of old sentimental things that just take up space and decide on what is really important to take with you.
Living in SF is going to be amazing. Great coffee shops, good art scene, farmer's markets, the ocean, slightly cooler weather than LA and slightly more liberal. We will have to live like paupers though. Apparently, SF is the most expensive city to live in the USA. The Fox Plaza Apartments a "favorite" among SFCM student's wanting to live within a few blocks of the school starts at $1,890 for a 450 sq. ft. studio. I think perhaps I will be getting a lot of use out of my MUNI pass (public transportation. pass). At least there will be lots of opportunities to perform. It is a city full of great restaurants with live entertainment. I hope to frequently be live entertainment.
School is going to be amazing. Marc Teichoz, David Tanenbaum, Dusan Bogdanovic, Lawrence Ferrara, and yes, their newest guitar faculty member, Sergio Assad! It also doesn't hurt that the practice rooms have personal room temperature systems and a view. It is going to be a wonderful place to study and play music for the next two years. I haven't been this excited about the future in a while.

walks in the rain
I have a lot of big decisions to make. I'm talking huge life changing decisions. (Those are the best kinds aren't they?) This is turning out to be one crazy year for me. I won't lie, I do enjoy the excitement to some extent, I just wish I could sleep for more than half an hour at a time before my brain switches on again and wakes me up by reminding me of all the pending decisions I have to make. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about any of them until I've made them. Blogs aren't really useful to me. I guess I"ll just post some pictures instead. They're always fun.
